Senior Software Engineer

Acerta Analytics is empowering automotive data to unlock its value and transform product quality. Our platforms detect the earliest indicators of future product failures, enabling automotive OEMs and Tier 1s to optimize vehicle and part quality, safety and reliability. We give engineers the tools to amplify their domain knowledge with data science and machine learning via cloud-based analytics. Job Summary

We are looking for a senior software engineer capable of dabbling in both backend and data infrastructure, with a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring quality, consistency, maintainability, performance, security and privacy, and all the other things that make software great. This position requires collaboration with other engineers on the team, as well as data scientists and the product manager, necessitating a comfort-level with ambiguity and a desire to create, iterate and improve. This is an opportunity to come in early, have an owner-level impact and shape the future of the company. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience 
  • A strong understanding of software engineering and computer science fundamentals.
  • Experience with data modeling working with relational databases (preferably with PostgeSQL) and with ORM tools (preferably with SQLAlchemy). 
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs with OpenAPI Specification/Swagger and OpenAPI code generator. 
  • Extensive knowledge of software and system design patterns(preferably with microservice architecture)
  • Ability to plan and scope large projects, research possible solutions and technologies and lead system design activities. 
  • Mastery of at least two activities beyond coding, such as: automation, reliability monitoring and alerting, security and privacy practices, production hygiene and support duties. 
  • Very good knowledge of at least one popular cloud service provider (Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Ops skills: Docker, Kubernetes, Web Firewall, Networking, PostgeSQL, Blob Storage, Batch Processing, setting up CI/CD pipelines (preferably with Azure DevOps).

Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Director of Marketing

Job Summary

Acerta is seeking a results-driven performance marketer who is highly analytical and has experience managing campaigns across multiple platforms efficiently and profitably. The Marketing Director will drive a strategy and tactical plan that results in high quality inbound leads, supporting Acerta’s sales objectives. You will utilize and expand the company’s customer base, create and execute unifying marketing content targeted at new and existing customers, and effectively manage the marketing team. As Marketing Director, you support both internal and external customers through the creation of sales enablement artifacts and collateral. You measure your success and pivot your approach – using metrics and data as your guide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that raises brand awareness, generates quality leads, and drives revenue.
  • Drive a strategy and implement a tactical plan that results in high quality inbound leads, supporting Acerta’s sales objectives.
  • Execute brand, product, and customer research initiatives to aid marketing campaigns 
  • Build an overall  strategy that identifies Acerta’s target audience segments, key geographies, and a strong testing framework.

You manage the full recruitment life cycle for Acerta and serve as a technical specialist in sourcing, recruiting, and identifying qualified applicants for highly specialized and difficult to attract positions. You are the internal Talent Acquisition expert ensuring that programs and systems align with the internal philosophy of the organization and are represented successfully in the external marketplace.

Data Scientist

Job Summary

Acerta’s machine learning platforms leverage automotive assembly and vehicle data to detect the earliest indicators of future product failures. We help automakers optimize quality, safety, and reliability throughout the entire product life cycle, from the assembly line to the finish line.

As an integral part of the data science team at Acerta, you will productize, deploy, maintain, and monitor machine learning models running behind Acerta’s LinePulse and AutoPulse products. Our LinePulse SaaS platform enables automakers to identify anomalies in production data for enhanced testing, accelerated root cause analysis, and improved manufacturing output. Acerta’s AutoPulse SaaS platform enables predictive maintenance of connected and autonomous vehicles based on production, maintenance, and on-road data.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of data science experience using python
  • Strong ML and statistics background
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with keras, tensorflow, and sklearn.
  • Experience with time-series and operations data is an asset
  • Previous Kaggle experience or similar is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Experience using Git in a team environment
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, requirements, and schedules
  • Familiarity with working on remote linux instances
